The Chinim Community

My name is Felestina, I am 42 years old, and I have completed primary school.

 

I am a sociable, kind, and calm woman, and the mother of four children aged 17, 12, 11, and 8.

 

As a member of my community, I am committed to working in coordination with our local authorities and with those who provide support for the installation of safe drinking water systems, always thinking about the future and the health of our boys and girls.

 

In my role as a community agent, I want to offer educational talks for children, as well as for mothers and fathers. I also want to continue receiving training so I can work together with youth, adults, and elders, strengthening the well-being of our community.

 

I am deeply grateful for the support this safe drinking water project will bring, because our children frequently suffer from infections, and this initiative will make an important difference in their health and future.

My name is Rosina, I am 44 years old, and I am Awajún from the Native Community of Chinim. I am the mother of five children, and since I was a girl I learned the teachings of my grandparents, especially about our traditional medicine and the importance of respecting our ancestral customs.

 

I am a sociable and friendly person, always willing to support my community members and family. Now, as a community agent for the Amazon Bridge project, I want to work in coordination with our local authorities, mothers, children, and youth to help with the installation and proper use of safe drinking water systems.

 

I want to continue receiving training so I can offer educational talks that combine current knowledge with the wisdom of our people, strengthening the new generations and protecting our culture.
