The Tutumberos Community
Margarita
My name is Margarita. I am 68 years old and Awajún from the Native Community of Tutumberos. I have carried since childhood the teachings of my grandparents—traditional medicine, cultural crafts, and respect for our ancestral customs.
I am a sociable and committed community member who supports families and youth. >My plan is to work with local leaders, mothers, children, and young people to ensure the installation and proper use of safe drinking water systems.
I aim to continue building my skills to deliver educational talks that combine modern knowledge with ancestral wisdom, strengthening future generations.
Liliana
My name is Lidia. I am 48 years old, completed high school, and am the mother of five children. I am a calm and committed community member dedicated to improving children’s health.
I will work closely with local authorities and partners to support the installation of safe drinking water systems, always prioritizing the future of our children. As a community agent, I plan to provide educational talks for families and continue strengthening my skills to work with all age groups to improve overall community well-being.
I am grateful for this project, which will significantly reduce infections and improve the health and future of our children.
