The Padre Cocha Community

My name is Margarita, although many people affectionately call me Margie or Waynita. I am 40 years old and proud to be Kukama Kukamiria. I am the mother of four children and grandmother of three grandchildren, who are my greatest motivation.

I serve as a community leader and work as an artisan using chambira palm fiber. I participate in local fairs and enjoy continuing to learn and contribute through my culture.

I want to become a community agent for the safe water project because I hope to see every family in my community enjoy a better quality of life and greater opportunities for the future.
