How Donations Work
Amazon Bridge is an initiative—not a nonprofit—and therefore does not receive or manage donations directly.
To ensure full transparency, legal compliance, and tax-deductible benefits for every donor, all contributions are processed through independent, accredited fiscal sponsors in the United States, the EU, and Peru.
This model provides donors with maximum security, accountability, and clarity.

Local NGOs = Impact Through People
Local NGOs are responsible for the full operational execution of each project module. They manage on-the-ground implementation, contract and supervise technical providers for water systems, oversee installations, logistics, long-term maintenance, and deliver the program’s social components.
For donations originating in Peru, local NGOs may also act as fiscal sponsors, in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements.
Coordinating for Impact
Amazon Bridge serves as the coordinating platform that aligns fiscal sponsors, local NGOs, and technical providers around a shared impact framework.
While it does not receive or manage donations directly, it provides strategic oversight, program design, and coordination to ensure that all actors operate in alignment with agreed objectives, timelines, and quality standards.
Through this role, Amazon Bridge facilitates collaboration, supports monitoring and learning, and ensures that resources—financial, technical, and human—are deployed efficiently to maximize sustainable impact across the six Awajún communities.
