Lidia

My name is Lidia but here they call me Lidi. I have been weaving since I was a child, and my hands hold the stories of my people.

Today, I use that knowledge to teach other women how to use our resources sustainably. Being part of this project has allowed me to unite our traditions with new ways of caring for life.

I decided to participate because I felt it was time to turn my experience into a bridge between the old and the new, between wisdom and technology.

My name is Yamkái and I am 57 years old. I am blessed to have 15 grandchildren and now I coordinate health and wellness campaigns in Tunants.

Listening to my people, solving problems, and guiding them through changes are my daily tasks. I believe that when a woman learns and leads, the entire community moves forward with her.

I decided to become a volunteer because I deeply believe in the power of service, and that a solidarity-based leadership can transform the destiny of our town.
